This Cookie Policy explains how QuantCoreX uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and session tokens) when you visit or use our website and application. QuantCoreX is educational, pre-trade decision-support software. It is not a broker, investment adviser, financial adviser, signal provider, or fund, and nothing in this policy or on our platform constitutes financial advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any instrument.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the service is used. Similar technologies — including browser local storage, session storage, and pixels — perform comparable functions, and references to “cookies” in this policy should be read to include those technologies where relevant.
We group the cookies and similar technologies we may use into the categories described below. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
Essential cookies
Essential cookies (also called strictly necessary cookies) are required for the platform to function. They enable core capabilities such as page navigation, load balancing, form submission, security, and preserving your choices during a session. Without these cookies, parts of the service cannot be delivered.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested, they are generally not subject to consent under applicable rules. They do not track you for advertising or profiling purposes. Typical uses include:
- Security and integrity: protecting against cross-site request forgery and other abuse, and maintaining the integrity of your session.
- Load management: routing requests efficiently and keeping the service available.
- Preferences: remembering short-lived choices you make while using the platform, such as interface state.
If you block essential cookies through your browser, the platform may not work correctly and certain features may be unavailable.
Authentication cookies (Supabase session)
We use Supabase to manage user accounts and authentication. When you sign in, Supabase sets session and token values — stored as cookies and/or in your browser's local storage — so that the platform can recognise you across pages and keep you signed in without asking for your credentials on every request.
These authentication technologies are used to:
- Maintain your session: keep you logged in as you move between pages of the application.
- Refresh access securely: renew your session token so you are not signed out mid-session, subject to expiry and security limits.
- Protect your account: support security checks that help prevent unauthorised access.
Authentication cookies and tokens are essential to providing a logged-in experience. If you clear them or block them, you will be signed out and will need to sign in again, and account features will be unavailable until you do.
Analytics cookies
We aim to keep tracking to a minimum. At present, QuantCoreX uses minimal to no analytics cookies, and we do not operate advertising or cross-site profiling cookies. We prefer privacy-respecting, aggregated measurement approaches wherever measurement is needed at all.
If we introduce analytics in the future — for example, to understand which pages are used, to diagnose errors, or to improve performance — we will update this policy to describe the provider, the purpose, and the approximate retention period, and, where required, we will request your consent before any non-essential analytics cookies are set.
- Current position: minimal or no analytics cookies are in use, stated honestly rather than assumed.
- If adopted: analytics would be used only to measure and improve the service, not to build advertising profiles.
- Your control: where analytics are non-essential, you will be able to decline them without losing access to core functionality.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies and similar technologies may be set by third-party service providers whose tools we rely on to operate the platform. These providers set and read their own cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies, and we encourage you to review those policies directly. Third parties that may be involved include:
- Stripe: used to process subscription payments and checkout securely. Stripe may set cookies to enable payment functionality and to help detect and prevent fraud during checkout.
- Supabase: used for authentication and account data, as described above. Supabase technologies support secure sign-in and session management.
- Vercel: used to host and deliver the platform. Vercel may use cookies or similar mechanisms for security, load balancing, and reliable content delivery where applicable.
We do not control cookies set by third parties, and their use is governed by the relevant third party's own terms and policies. We include them here so you understand which external services may place cookies when you use QuantCoreX.
Managing cookies (browser controls)
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view the cookies stored on your device, delete some or all of them, and block cookies from being set. The exact steps vary by browser, and browser help pages describe how to do this for your specific version.
- Delete existing cookies: clear cookies and site data already stored on your device.
- Block or limit cookies: prevent some or all cookies from being set, or restrict third-party cookies.
- Private browsing: use a private or incognito window, which typically clears cookies when the window is closed.
Please note that blocking or deleting essential and authentication cookies will affect how the platform works — in particular, you may be signed out and unable to access account features until you allow those cookies again.
Consent
Essential and authentication cookies are set because they are necessary to provide the service you have requested. Where we use any non-essential cookies that require consent under applicable law, we will ask for your consent before setting them.
A cookie consent banner is planned. This placeholder notes our intention to present a consent mechanism that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies and to change your choice later. Until the banner is implemented, our practice is to keep non-essential cookies to a minimum, consistent with the honest position described in the analytics section above.
When the consent banner is available, this policy will be updated to describe how consent is captured, how you can withdraw it, and how your preference is stored and respected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, in our providers, or in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
